At The Central Group we are looking for a Project Manager – Permanent Displays.

    Job Summary:
    The Project Manager, Permanent Displays oversees all aspects of projects from inception to shipping using planning, monitoring and controlling processes. To this end the Project Manager, Permanent Displays performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to estimating, preparing quotes, coordinating with suppliers, communicating the progress of the project, entering orders, follow up on orders, purchasing materials and invoicing.
    The Project Manager, Permanent Displays handles multiple projects within a fast paced environment and is open to constant challenge and change. The Project Manager, Permanent Displays will develop and maintain positive working relationships with all contacts inside and outside The Central Group. The Project Manager, Permanent Displays is a person with Tenacity, drive, ownership and is communicative with internal and external customers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures Quality Procedures are followed.
    • Constantly monitors and reports on the progress of a project to all stakeholders.
    • Intimately understands the requirements of the project.
    • Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality of product and service delivered.
    • Provide soft sales (up selling opportunities) or articulate these opportunities to the appropriate channels.
    • Attend meetings with clients.
    • Communicate customer expectations with manufacturing.
    • Has a strong understanding of the Retail Market.
    • Assist with cutting printed parts for prototypes and other Cad room requirements
    • Take and publish meeting notes from client meetings
    • Create part numbers/ Bill of materials and pack slips
    • Create work orders, provide all quotes and Purchase orders
    • Processes all orders and follows through.
    • Coordinates the purchasing of any tooling required to manufacture at TCG, by ordering from the Prepress department.
    • Coordinates the purchasing of any corrugates not manufactured at TCG through Logistics Coordinator.
    • Coordinates the purchasing of stock components from the co packing operation.
    • Packaging of prototypes
    • Has a strong understanding of Permanent Point of Purchase Displays.
    • Learn the current corrugated processes so we can best adapt to the Perm business
    • Track cost and sell prices on e-ink
    • Update weekly management report -  support
    • Strong corrugated knowledge to assist on jobs where we use mixed materials
    • Manage and Understand E-ink samples and MDXO stock
    • Manage vendor relationships
    • Able to understand an assembly drawing
    • Can manage create/critical paths
    • Communicate directly with clients
    • Understand and be able to review planograms
    • Review proofs sent in from clients and printers
    • Assist on in store executions like the installation of prototypes into store environments
    • Photocopying instruction sheets
    • Manage and source materials on Perm sections of the Material wall
    • Build a library of pricing
    • Additional duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    Specific tasks and outcomes:
    • Acting as transition leader for new customers, including building the transition road map, helping to identify team members, participating in customer needs assessment and weekly update meetings, clarifying internal roles and responsibilities, etc.

    • Coordinating post-transition activities within the sales and PM teams, including driving new behaviours and implementing new procedures required internally to deliver on customer expectations and manage Central’s bottom line (e.g. invoicing of overruns, tracking external freight costs, invoicing storage charges, invoicing extra setups, invoicing warehousing activities, invoicing custom applications developments associated with web sites, etc.)

    • Architecting and delivering on customer-specific reporting, including changing PM and customer behaviours to identify categorization at order entry (e.g. temp vs. perm, vehicle type classification, brand codes, promotional codes, GL codes, program codes, etc.)

    • Leading QBP preparation and delivery, including coordinating with 3rd party suppliers for reporting requirements

    • Leading RFP activities, including coordinating with sales, PM and Marketing teams to manage timelines and deliverables for both qualitative (Q&A) and quantitative (quoting basket) elements.

    • Identifying, co-creating and implementing new elements for our value proposition (e.g. cost certainty modeling, cost savings tracking vehicle, critical path automation/calendarization, etc.)

    • Coordinating efforts internally across multiple departments to ensure adherence to the special requirements associated with strategic accounts and new value offerings (e.g. internal auditing, retraining, procedural change, etc.)

    • Coordinating internal efforts to track cost savings initiatives, including identifying opportunities, documenting results, obtaining approvals, etc.

    • Taking a leadership role in presenting capabilities to prospective customers (e.g. transition capabilities, cost savings tracking capabilities, customized reporting capabilities, etc.).
